ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels Salasar, a 145-key hotel proposed in Salasar, Rajasthan, as part of its expansion strategy in the state's hospitality sector. Planned on a six-acre site, the property is intended to serve the growing demand for pilgrimage tourism, destination weddings, social gatherings and experiential leisure travel in one of India's prominent spiritual destinations.
The hotel will be developed by Envato Retreats Private Limited and will operate under the Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels brand through a management agreement. According to the company, the project has been designed to combine contemporary hospitality with architectural elements inspired by Rajasthan's cultural heritage.
Salasar, home to the renowned Salasar Balaji Temple, attracts pilgrims from across India and overseas throughout the year. The destination has also witnessed increasing demand from families and groups seeking venues for celebrations and private events. ITC Hotels said the proposed property is intended to address this evolving visitor profile by offering a branded hospitality experience rooted in local traditions.
The development will comprise 145 guest rooms and suites, together with an all-day dining restaurant and a lounge. The property will also feature approximately 12,000 sq ft of indoor banquet and event space designed to accommodate weddings, conferences and social functions.
Recreational and wellness facilities will include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and a dedicated children's club, providing amenities for both leisure and family travellers.
Architecturally, the hotel has been designed to reflect Rajasthan's traditional style through detailed façades, courtyards, arches, jaalis and regional decorative motifs. ITC Hotels said the design aims to create an environment that reflects the state's cultural identity while providing modern hospitality services.
Commenting on the agreement, Managing Director Anil Chadha said Rajasthan continued to be one of India's most popular tourism destinations because of its heritage, culture, spirituality and festivals. He noted that Salasar occupied a significant position within the state's tourism landscape and added that the project would further strengthen ITC Hotels' presence across multiple brands in Rajasthan.
Anoop Manglunia and Bajrang Lal Batesar, Directors of Envato Retreats Private Limited, said the proposed hotel was aligned with the evolving requirements of the destination. They stated that ITC Hotels' emphasis on service standards and responsible hospitality would help enhance the overall experience for pilgrims and other visitors.
According to ITC Hotels, the signing forms part of its broader strategy to expand its footprint across culturally significant destinations while developing hospitality projects that showcase India's regional identities and cater to evolving travel preferences.
