Beyond Squarefeet has appointed Chartered Accountant Himesh Vasani as Assistant Vice President – Leasing as the shopping mall advisory and management firm expands its retail real estate portfolio across India. Vasani brings more than 28 years of professional experience, including a 19-year tenure at Reliance Retail, where he was involved in real estate acquisitions and retail expansion initiatives. In his new role, he will lead leasing strategies, strengthen relationships with developers and retailers, and support the company's advisory and leasing operations. The appointment reflects Beyond Squarefeet's focus on strengthening its leadership team amid growing demand for organised retail and mixed-use developments.
Beyond Squarefeet has appointed Chartered Accountant Himesh Vasani as Assistant Vice President – Leasing, strengthening its leadership team as the shopping mall advisory and management company continues to expand its leasing and advisory business across India's retail real estate sector.
Vasani joins the company with more than 28 years of professional experience, including a 19-year stint at Reliance Retail, where he contributed to the company's large-scale retail expansion programme. During his tenure, he was involved in real estate acquisition, commercial operations and process optimisation initiatives that supported the growth of Reliance Retail's network to more than 18,000 stores across multiple retail formats.
According to the company, Vasani has extensive experience in commercial strategy, retail real estate transactions and stakeholder management. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale property acquisition programmes, negotiated commercial agreements and worked with developers, retailers and multidisciplinary teams on retail infrastructure projects across India.
In his new position, Vasani will oversee leasing strategies across Beyond Squarefeet's growing portfolio while working closely with developers and retail brands to support expansion plans and optimise asset performance. His responsibilities will include commercial negotiations, market assessment, financial evaluation, due diligence and relationship management aimed at delivering long-term leasing solutions for clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Susil S. Dungarwal, Chief Mall Mechanic at Beyond Squarefeet, said Vasani's experience in real estate acquisitions, commercial negotiations and retail expansion would strengthen the company's leasing capabilities. He added that his commercial expertise and strategic approach would support the company's efforts to develop future-ready shopping malls and generate long-term value for developers and retail partners.
Vasani said Beyond Squarefeet had established a strong reputation for providing retail real estate advisory services and delivering value for developers and brands. He noted that he looked forward to working with the company's team to develop leasing strategies, strengthen client relationships and contribute to its long-term growth plans.
