Waaree Solar Americas secures 236 MW solar module supply order for US project

Synopsis

Waaree Solar Americas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has secured a 236.22 MW utility-scale solar module supply contract for a major solar project in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. The modules will be manufactured at the company's facility in Brookshire, Texas, strengthening Waaree's presence in the US market. While the company did not disclose the value of the contract, the latest order adds to its growing international order book and reflects its continued focus on supplying domestically manufactured solar modules to support clean energy projects in the United States.

Waaree Solar Americas, the US-based wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has secured a 236.22 MW utility-scale solar module supply contract for a major solar project in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. 
The company said the solar modules for the project will be manufactured and supplied from its manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas. The order further strengthens Waaree's presence in the US renewable energy market, where the company has been expanding its manufacturing footprint to meet rising demand for domestically produced solar equipment. 
The financial value of the contract has not been disclosed. 
Commenting on the development, Sunil Rathi, Executive Director of Waaree Group, said that the United States continues to be a key strategic market for the company. He added that the latest contract strengthens Waaree's order book and reflects its long-term commitment to supporting the country's clean energy transition through domestic manufacturing capabilities. 
Waaree Energies has been steadily expanding its international business, particularly in the US, where local manufacturing has gained importance due to policy support for domestic clean energy production. The company's Brookshire, Texas facility plays a key role in supplying solar modules for utility-scale and commercial projects across the country. 
The latest order comes as Waaree continues to strengthen its global renewable energy portfolio by increasing manufacturing capacity and securing new supply contracts in key international markets.
