Pratapnagar railway station in Vadodara is undergoing a significant transformation under a redevelopment initiative valued at INR 71.58 crore, marking a new chapter for one of Gujarat's oldest railway facilities. The project seeks to modernize the station's infrastructure while preserving its role as an important part of the city's railway network.
With a history spanning more than a century, Pratapnagar has long served as a key rail node in the region. The ongoing revamp is designed to upgrade passenger facilities, improve operational capabilities and create additional capacity to accommodate growing rail traffic. Railway authorities view the project as an important step toward strengthening transportation infrastructure in and around Vadodara.
The redevelopment includes enhancements to station infrastructure, circulation areas and passenger amenities aimed at delivering a more efficient travel experience.
