ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for a 140-key Welcomhotel in Jaipur, strengthening its presence in Rajasthan's hospitality market. The proposed hotel will feature guest rooms and suites, multiple dining venues, wellness facilities and extensive event infrastructure, including more than 15,000 sq. ft. of banquet space and 22,000 sq. ft. of outdoor event lawns. Developed in partnership with Ashraya Hotels and Resorts, the project is aimed at serving leisure travellers, corporate events, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), and the destination wedding segment. The signing forms part of ITC Hotels' ongoing expansion strategy across state capitals and key tourism markets, following recent announcements in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun and Hyderabad.
ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for a 140-key Welcomhotel in Jaipur, expanding its hospitality portfolio in Rajasthan and strengthening the presence of its upper-upscale brand in one of India's leading tourism and wedding destinations. The agreement was announced on June 18 and marks another addition to the company's growing network across major state capitals and high-demand travel markets.
The proposed Welcomhotel Jaipur will be developed in collaboration with Ashraya Hotels and Resorts and is expected to cater to a mix of leisure travellers, business visitors and event-driven demand. Jaipur continues to attract significant domestic and international tourist traffic owing to its historical attractions, cultural heritage and position on Rajasthan's established tourism circuit.
According to the company, the hotel has been planned to combine contemporary hospitality offerings with design elements inspired by the city's cultural and architectural character. The development will feature 140 guest rooms and suites alongside a range of food and beverage outlets.
Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant and a lounge bar. The property will also incorporate wellness amenities, including spa facilities and other guest-focused recreational offerings.
A key component of the project is its events and celebrations infrastructure. The hotel will offer more than 15,000 sq. ft. of indoor banqueting and event space, supported by approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of outdoor greens. The company expects these facilities to position the property for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE), corporate events and destination weddings, segments that continue to witness strong demand in Jaipur.
Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, stated that Jaipur represents a combination of heritage-driven tourism and growing demand for premium hospitality infrastructure. He said the company intends to deliver an experience that reflects the city's local identity while maintaining ITC Hotels' established service standards. He added that the signing aligns with the group's strategy of strengthening its presence in prominent hospitality markets.
Anil Agarwal, Sunil Agarwal and Peyush Agarwal, Directors of Ashraya Hotels and Resorts, stated that Jaipur remains one of India's most sought-after hospitality destinations and continues to attract travellers from domestic and international markets. They noted that the partnership aims to bring branded hospitality offerings that recognise Rajasthan's cultural heritage while catering to evolving guest expectations.
The signing comes at a time when Jaipur's hospitality sector is benefiting from improved connectivity, infrastructure upgrades and sustained tourism demand. Industry participants have also reported increasing demand for premium accommodation and large-format event venues across the city.
For ITC Hotels, the Jaipur project forms part of a broader expansion strategy focused on strengthening its footprint across high-growth destinations. The company recently announced new hospitality projects in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun and Hyderabad and continues to expand its portfolio across multiple segments through its ITC Hotels, Mementos, Welcomhotel, Storii, Fortune and WelcomHeritage brands.
With the addition of Welcomhotel Jaipur, ITC Hotels further consolidates its presence in Rajasthan, a market that remains among India's most significant leisure and hospitality destinations.
