Synopsis

Amaravati is set to strengthen its education ecosystem with the addition of a new campus by Global Indian International School (GIIS). The school operator, GIIS K12 Education Private Limited, has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA) to establish the institution in the capital city. A 4-acre land parcel has been allotted in Sakhamuru village of Tullur mandal for the project. The proposed campus is expected to offer modern educational facilities, improve access to quality schooling in the region and contribute to local employment generation.

The educational infrastructure of Amaravati is set to expand further with Global Indian International School (GIIS) planning to establish a new campus in the capital city. GIIS, which operates schools across several countries and is known for its international curriculum and modern learning facilities, has formalised its entry into Amaravati through an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA).
The agreement was completed on June 10, 2026, between AP CRDA and GIIS K12 Education Private Limited, the company that operates the educational institution. The document was signed by Zubin Roy, Joint Director (Estates), on behalf of AP CRDA, while Rajiv Kaul, Country Director, represented GIIS K12 Education Private Limited.
As part of the project, AP CRDA has allotted 4 acres of land in Sakhamuru village of Tullur mandal within the Amaravati capital region. The proposed campus is expected to be developed with modern educational infrastructure and facilities aligned with contemporary academic standards.
Representatives of the institution stated that the school would offer quality education to students from Amaravati and neighbouring areas. The planned campus is expected to cater to the growing educational needs of families relocating to the capital region as residential, commercial and institutional developments continue to take shape.
The development adds to the list of educational and social infrastructure projects being planned in Amaravati. The capital city has been witnessing renewed focus on institutional development, with authorities seeking to attract schools, universities, healthcare facilities and other civic amenities to support future population growth and urban expansion.
The addition of a globally recognised school brand is expected to enhance the city's appeal for homebuyers, professionals and businesses looking to establish a presence in the region. Educational institutions are often considered a key component in the development of integrated urban centres and play an important role in supporting long-term residential growth.
