SAMCO Securities has launched a global investing platform for Indian investors after receiving a broker-dealer licence from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) at GIFT City. The move enables investors in India to invest in US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) through the company's platform.
The newly launched platform provides research coverage on more than 700 global securities. These include companies that are part of the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 indices, along with more than 100 ETFs. The offering is designed to give investors access to international markets while providing research and analytical support for investment decisions.
According to SAMCO Group Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jimeet Modi, the platform combines global market access with research-driven insights to help investors build diversified portfolios across geographies. He stated that the company aims to support investors with both access to global opportunities and research-backed investment conviction.
Investors can begin investing with as little as USD 1 through fractional ownership, allowing them to buy portions of high-value international stocks. The onboarding process is fully digital and can be completed through the SAMCO Trading App under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), which permits Indian residents to invest overseas within prescribed limits.
The platform also integrates several investment support tools, including quantitative research, investment recommendations, target prices, stop-loss frameworks and portfolio monitoring features. According to the company, these capabilities are intended to make global investing more accessible and structured for retail investors.
SAMCO Securities Chief Executive Officer Ulhas Joshi said global investing is increasingly becoming an important part of portfolio construction for investors seeking diversification beyond domestic markets. He added that the platform has been developed to simplify access to international investment opportunities for Indian investors.
The launch comes at a time when interest in overseas investing is growing among Indian retail investors, driven by increasing awareness of global markets and the desire for geographical diversification. GIFT City has also emerged as a key hub for international financial services, with several financial institutions expanding cross-border investment offerings through the regulatory framework established by IFSCA.
Headquartered in Mumbai, SAMCO Securities operates as a technology-focused stockbroking firm and is part of the SAMCO Group, which also includes SAMCO Asset Management.
