Synopsis

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 305 MWp of renewable energy capacity across multiple districts in Gujarat under power purchase agreements signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The portfolio comprises 183 MWp of solar capacity and 122 MW of wind capacity, spread across Surendranagar, Aravalli, Devbhumi Dwarka and adjoining areas. Several projects were completed ahead of their scheduled commercial operation dates, including hybrid solar installations commissioned up to 148 days in advance. The development strengthens the company’s renewable energy presence in Gujarat and supports the state’s growing clean energy generation capacity through a mix of solar, wind and hybrid projects.

Juniper Green Energy has commissioned 305 MWp of renewable energy capacity across Gujarat under multiple power purchase agreements signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL), expanding its operational portfolio in one of India’s key renewable energy markets. The projects, commissioned through the company’s subsidiaries in recent months, are located across Surendranagar, Aravalli, Devbhumi Dwarka and adjoining districts and comprise a combination of solar, wind and hybrid power assets.
According to the company, the commissioned portfolio includes 183 MWp of solar capacity and 122 MW of wind capacity. The projects have been developed under agreements executed with GUVNL, Gujarat’s state-owned power procurement and distribution entity.
A significant portion of the newly commissioned capacity forms part of Juniper Green Energy’s hybrid energy portfolio in Surendranagar, Aravalli and neighbouring districts. Under a 150 MW hybrid project, the company commissioned 70.56 MWp of solar capacity on April 23, 2026. The project was brought online 71 days ahead of its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD).
The company subsequently commissioned 42.42 MWp of solar capacity under a separate 120 MW hybrid project on May 14, 2026. This installation was completed 148 days ahead of its scheduled commissioning timeline.
In another milestone, Juniper Green Energy commissioned 70.07 MWp of solar capacity under an additional 150 MW hybrid project on June 3, 2026. The project achieved commissioning 30 days ahead of its SCOD, adding further solar generation capacity to the company’s Gujarat portfolio.
Alongside its solar and hybrid developments, the company has also completed the commissioning of two wind energy projects in Devbhumi Dwarka district. These include 50.40 MW of wind capacity under a 50 MW wind power project and 72.45 MW under a separate 70 MW wind power project.
The newly operational assets contribute to Gujarat’s renewable energy generation capacity and form part of the broader shift towards integrating solar, wind and hybrid energy systems into the state’s power mix. The projects have been developed under long-term power procurement arrangements with GUVNL, enabling the supply of renewable power to the state electricity network.
Commenting on the development, Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy, said the commissioning of more than 305 MW of renewable energy capacity in Gujarat demonstrated the company’s project execution capabilities and reflected its commitment to delivering sustainable and reliable clean energy solutions.
Juniper Green Energy operates as an independent renewable energy power producer in India and continues to expand its portfolio through utility-scale solar, wind and hybrid energy projects across multiple states. The latest commissioning strengthens the company’s footprint in Gujarat, a state that remains a major hub for renewable energy investments and capacity additions.
