Stegra has secured its first customer for non-prime steel from its hydrogen-based steel plant in northern Sweden, marking an early commercial milestone ahead of production. The Swedish startup has signed an agreement with Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe to supply significant volumes from 2027, supporting the ramp-up of operations. Non-prime steel, while not used for high-spec applications, remains suitable for many industrial needs and helps ensure stable plant output. KP Group has announced a significant investment commitment of INR 4,000 crore towards expanding renewable energy capacity in Gujarat, reinforcing the state's position as a key hub for clean energy development in India. The Punjab government has launched a fresh round of mining site auctions and notified major reforms under the amended Punjab Minor Mineral Rules to improve transparency and boost revenue. In the first phase, 29 commercial mining sites were auctioned through online bidding, generating INR 11.61 crore. The new framework replaces volume-based allotments with competitive price bidding, upfront payments, advance royalty collection, and longer five-year lease tenures.
