Under the Negotiated Partnership Scheme, 28 returnable residential plots were distributed to farmers displaced by road expansion in Amaravati's R-1 zone. French infrastructure company Vinci SA has agreed to acquire a portfolio of nine operational toll highways in India from Macquarie Asset Management for an enterprise value of about USD 1.7 billion (approximately INR 15,000 crore), in one of the largest road asset transactions in the country. The deal, announced in the past week, involves assets held under the Safeway Concessions platform, spanning nearly 700 km across Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has directed the Pune Municipal Corporation to address gaps in sewage treatment infrastructure within six months and achieve full sewer network coverage within four months, following a recent review of pollution levels in the city.
