Hazoor Multi Projects has secured an INR 193.85 crore order from the National Highways Authority of India for operating as a user fee agency at Paranur Fee Plaza on NH-45 in Tamil Nadu. The contract, awarded through the e-tender process, has a tenure of 12 months and also covers maintenance of the building infrastructure located next to the toll plaza. The order adds to the company’s recent road-related contracts from NHAI and strengthens its presence in highway operations and infrastructure services. Hazoor Multi Projects also undertakes renewable energy and road construction projects.
Hazoor Multi Projects (HMPL) has received a Letter of Award from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a project worth INR 193.85 crore in Tamil Nadu. The company secured the contract through an e-tender process. The order involves its appointment as the user fee agency for Paranur Fee Plaza located at 52.82 km on NH-45 in the state.
The contract will remain in effect for 12 months. Along with user fee collection at the toll plaza, HMPL will also be responsible for maintaining the building infrastructure adjacent to the facility. The company disclosed the award through a regulatory filing, stating that it had received the Letter of Award from NHAI for the Paranur Fee Plaza assignment.
The latest order comes shortly after HMPL secured another NHAI contract in Jharkhand. Earlier this month, the company received an INR 28.47 crore order to operate as a user fee agency at Madangundi Fee Plaza on NH-31 for a period of 12 months.
HMPL operates across infrastructure and energy-related activities, including renewable energy and road projects undertaken on an engineering, procurement and construction basis. The latest Tamil Nadu contract gives the company an additional assignment in highway user fee operations while also adding maintenance responsibilities at the toll facility.
The project also forms part of the wider activity around highway infrastructure in Tamil Nadu, where NHAI is continuing work on major road and elevated corridor projects. The authority's Chennai Port-Maduravoyal double-tier elevated corridor, for instance, is a 20.9-km project being developed at a cost of more than INR 3,500 crore and is scheduled for completion by November 2027.
For HMPL, the Paranur assignment provides a 12-month revenue-generating contract covering both toll plaza operations and associated infrastructure maintenance. The value of INR 193.85 crore makes it substantially larger than the company's recently awarded Jharkhand user fee contract.
Conclusion
The Paranur contract places greater focus on the operational side of highway infrastructure, where toll collection and upkeep of supporting facilities are closely linked to the functioning of a fee plaza. For HMPL, the order also adds to its recent NHAI work across states and broadens its current road infrastructure portfolio beyond construction-related activities. With a defined 12-month tenure, the Tamil Nadu assignment will give the company a clear operating mandate at one identified fee plaza while requiring it to maintain the adjoining building infrastructure as part of the contract.
