Synopsis

BikeWo GreenTech Limited is exploring strategic opportunities to expand into warehousing and integrated logistics infrastructure, as part of its broader vision to build a comprehensive mobility and logistics ecosystem. The Hyderabad-based electric mobility firm intends to evaluate technology-enabled warehousing across sectors including e-commerce, automotive and electric mobility, FMCG, retail and enterprise logistics, with an initial focus on Hyderabad before expanding to other Indian markets. The company said it would consider a mix of owned, leased, operated, build-to-suit and partnership-led models, with the expansion currently at an exploratory stage.

BikeWo GreenTech Limited is exploring strategic opportunities to expand its presence into warehousing and integrated logistics infrastructure, the company said in a press release submitted to the National Stock Exchange, as part of its broader effort to build a comprehensive mobility and logistics ecosystem.
The proposed expansion is intended to complement BikeWo's existing focus on electric mobility, fleet leasing and logistics operations, allowing the company to participate across a wider portion of the logistics value chain. As part of the initiative, BikeWo said it intends to evaluate warehousing opportunities and operating models across key logistics markets in India, with potential applications spanning sectors including e-commerce, automotive and electric mobility, FMCG, retail, enterprise logistics and other high-growth supply chains.
The company said its approach to warehousing would extend beyond viewing such facilities purely as storage infrastructure. With supply chains becoming increasingly technology-driven, BikeWo said it intends to evaluate technology-enabled warehousing incorporating automation, digital warehouse management and data intelligence, integrated progressively with its existing fleet and logistics capabilities.
Given the company's existing focus on electric mobility, BikeWo also said it plans to explore integration between warehousing, electric vehicle fleets, charging infrastructure, and first-mile and last-mile transportation, with the stated objective of enabling more efficient movement of goods and better utilisation of logistics assets across its platform.
The company said it intends to evaluate a combination of owned, leased, operated, build-to-suit and partnership-led models for the warehousing expansion, with an emphasis on capital efficiency and scalability rather than committing to a single approach at this stage.
Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo GreenTech Limited, said warehousing represented a natural extension of the logistics ecosystem the company was building. He said the objective was not merely to add physical infrastructure but to explore how warehousing could work alongside technology, electric mobility and fleet operations to create a more connected logistics platform, adding that the company intended to identify scalable opportunities and partner with appropriate players as it progressively expanded across the logistics value chain.
BikeWo said it would initially focus its warehousing evaluation on Hyderabad in the first phase, before progressively exploring opportunities across other key logistics markets in India. The company said it was inviting warehouse owners, developers, third-party logistics operators, enterprise customers, technology providers and strategic partners to engage with it and explore potential collaboration opportunities.
The company described the proposed expansion as being at a presently exploratory stage, to be evaluated based on commercial viability, strategic fit and applicable regulatory approvals, adding that further disclosures would be made as required under applicable laws.
BikeWo GreenTech Limited describes itself as building an integrated mobility and logistics platform spanning electric mobility, fleet operations, logistics infrastructure and technology, and has been pursuing strategic acquisitions, investments and collaborations aimed at expanding its presence across multiple layers of India's evolving mobility and logistics value chain.
The press release did not specify a timeline for finalising any warehousing transactions, nor did it disclose the scale of capital the company intends to commit to the proposed expansion.
