Synopsis

Bhumika Realty, the real estate arm of Bhumika Group, has partnered with PVR INOX Ltd to establish a 25,000 sq ft multiscreen multiplex at The Icon, its mixed-use development in Sector 27A, Faridabad. The cinema will occupy the second and third floors of the project and is planned to begin operations alongside the opening of the mall. The agreement represents the second association between the two companies after PVR INOX’s presence at Urban Square in Udaipur. Located on NH-19 along the Delhi-Mathura Road corridor, The Icon is a RERA-approved development comprising premium retail, residences and hospitality. Designed by Bentel Associates of South Africa, the project is intended to cater to the established residential and commercial catchment around Sector 27A, as well as consumers from across Faridabad and adjoining South Delhi areas.

Bhumika Realty has entered into an agreement with PVR INOX Ltd to develop a 25,000 sq ft multiscreen multiplex at The Icon, the company’s mixed-use project on NH-19, Delhi-Mathura Road, in Sector 27A, Faridabad, with the cinema planned to open alongside the mall.
The multiplex will occupy approximately 25,000 sq ft across the second and third floors of The Icon. It will form part of the development’s broader retail and entertainment offering, which also includes hospitality and residential components. The project is positioned to cater to the established catchment around Sector 27A, as well as consumers from wider Faridabad and adjoining South Delhi areas.
The agreement is the second association between Bhumika Realty and PVR INOX. The cinema operator is already present at Urban Square in Udaipur, a retail and entertainment development by Bhumika Realty in Rajasthan. The companies’ latest partnership extends their collaboration into the Delhi-NCR market as Bhumika Realty expands its mixed-use and retail portfolio across high-growth locations.
Uddhav Poddar, CMD, Bhumika Group, said the repeat association with PVR INOX reflected the positioning of The Icon and the company’s focus on attracting established national brands to its developments. He added that the multiplex would provide an entertainment component to the project alongside its retail, hospitality and residential uses.
The Icon is a RERA-approved mixed-use development located directly on the Delhi-Mathura Road corridor. The project comprises premium retail, residences and hospitality and has been designed by Bentel Associates of South Africa.
Its location places the development within an established residential and commercial catchment, with direct frontage on NH-19. The project is intended to serve nearby residential communities while also drawing consumers from other parts of Faridabad and adjoining areas.
The planned multiplex will add a dedicated entertainment component to The Icon’s retail offering. PVR INOX is expected to commence operations at the development when the mall opens, integrating cinema with the project’s other consumer-facing uses.
The partnership also reflects Bhumika Realty’s approach of incorporating retail, entertainment and other consumer-oriented components within larger mixed-use developments. Urban Square in Udaipur represents the company’s existing association with PVR INOX under this model.
The Icon is one of Bhumika Realty’s key developments in Delhi-NCR. The company’s wider portfolio includes retail, residential, hospitality and mixed-use projects across different markets. The Faridabad development adds to its presence in the region through a project combining these uses with a multiscreen cinema operated by one of India’s major multiplex companies.
