ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for a 22-key boutique retreat under its Storii by ITC Hotels brand in Swaraj Dweep, formerly known as Havelock Island, in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The agreement, announced on August 25, marks the hospitality company’s entry into the Union Territory under its premium boutique Storii brand and adds to its growing portfolio of leisure properties.
The property will be developed as an intimate retreat designed around Swaraj Dweep’s natural surroundings, including its beaches, waters, tropical landscape and marine biodiversity. The resort is planned to comprise rooms and suites, with facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and children’s play area.
The management agreement has been signed with Waterwoods Lodge and Resorts Pvt Ltd. ITC Hotels said the property would be positioned to reflect the island’s natural environment and leisure character while providing a range of accommodation and hospitality facilities.
Anil Chadha, managing director of ITC Hotels Limited, said Swaraj Dweep had emerged as a sought-after leisure destination because of its natural attractions and distinctive visitor experiences. He said the signing was aligned with the company's strategy of expanding into leisure markets through properties connected to their surrounding environment, while adding that the company looked forward to bringing the Storii brand to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
