B-Right and Bombay Highlines Developers have expanded their Mumbai redevelopment portfolio by securing development rights for approximately 2.5 acres in Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Goregaon West. The developers have signed an initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the redevelopment, which forms part of a broader plan to build a larger presence in the locality. The company is targeting nearly 15 acres in Goregaon West over the next 18 months and plans to add four redevelopment projects to its portfolio during the current financial year. The expansion comes as redevelopment gains importance in Mumbai amid limited availability of developable land. Alongside the Goregaon project, the company is evaluating opportunities across other Mumbai locations and has a pipeline of projects under consideration.
B-Right and Bombay Highlines Developers have secured development rights for approximately 2.5 acres in Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar, Goregaon West, as the developers expand their redevelopment activity across Mumbai. The companies have signed an initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project, which is planned as part of a wider strategy to undertake redevelopment in established urban areas with limited availability of developable land.
The Goregaon West project involves one of Mumbai's largest slum clusters and is expected to become a significant project within the developers' redevelopment portfolio. B-Right and Bombay Highlines Developers are targeting nearly 15 acres in Goregaon West over the next 18 months. The planned expansion is expected to be undertaken in phases, with the developers working with project stakeholders and local communities during the redevelopment process.
The developers said the Goregaon initiative formed part of their broader redevelopment-led strategy in Mumbai. With the city facing a shortage of developable land, redevelopment has become an important route for adding housing and upgrading existing urban areas. The company intends to use redevelopment projects to address existing housing infrastructure requirements while creating value from land parcels in established locations.
Its expansion is not limited to Goregaon West. B-Right and Bombay Highlines Developers are evaluating redevelopment opportunities across several Mumbai locations and are assessing projects in key markets. The company has also outlined plans to add four redevelopment projects to its portfolio during the current financial year.
Alongside the projects planned for addition, the developer has a pipeline of further redevelopment opportunities that are currently under evaluation. The expansion programme is intended to increase the company's presence as a redevelopment-focused player in Mumbai's real estate market.
Commenting on the expansion, Aarnavv Shirsat said redevelopment had become central to Mumbai's future real estate development. He said the company was focusing on identifying redevelopment opportunities that could create value for residents, landowners and the city, adding that the Goregaon project represented an important step in its longer-term plan to build a redevelopment portfolio across Mumbai.
The company said it intends to continue expanding its redevelopment operations through strategic land aggregation, timely execution of projects and initiatives involving local communities. The Goregaon West project is expected to form part of this expansion as the developers pursue additional redevelopment opportunities across the city.
