Chalet Hotels Ltd has opened Athiva Pulse, a 152-room hotel in Navi Mumbai, marking the second Athiva property developed in partnership with Marriott International’s Autograph Collection in India. The launch expands the Athiva brand within the premium lifestyle hospitality segment and adds a new property to Marriott’s upper-upscale and luxury independent hotel portfolio in the country. The opening comes as hospitality operators seek to cater to travellers looking for differentiated design, local character and personalised experiences while retaining the service standards associated with established international hotel groups.
Chalet Hotels Ltd has opened the 152-room Athiva Pulse in Navi Mumbai, marking the second Athiva hotel in India to operate in partnership with Marriott International under its Autograph Collection brand. The new property was announced on August 25 and forms part of Chalet Hotels’ expansion of its premium lifestyle hospitality offering.
The Navi Mumbai hotel operates under the Athiva brand and joins Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, a global portfolio of upper-upscale and luxury independent hotels. The collection brings together properties with individual design and character while operating within Marriott’s wider hospitality network and service framework. Chalet Hotels said the opening represents another step in developing the Athiva brand in India. The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Shwetank Singh, said the second Athiva property strengthens its association with Marriott’s Autograph Collection and supports the company’s efforts to establish the brand within the premium lifestyle hospitality segment.
The new hotel is located in Navi Mumbai, an expanding urban and commercial market within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The city has been developing as a residential, business and infrastructure centre, supported by major transport and connectivity projects. The addition of a branded lifestyle hotel adds to the region’s organised hospitality supply.
Marriott International said the Autograph Collection is positioned to serve travellers seeking hotels with distinctive design and a strong connection with their location. Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International, said the portfolio was intended to combine individuality and original experiences with the hospitality and service standards associated with Marriott.
Athiva Pulse therefore forms part of a hotel segment that differs from standardised chain properties by allowing individual hotels to retain their own design identity and character. At the same time, its association with Autograph Collection places the property within Marriott International’s global upper-upscale and luxury hospitality portfolio. The launch also expands the presence of the Athiva brand beyond its first property in India. Chalet Hotels is using the partnership with Marriott International to develop the brand within the premium lifestyle segment, where hotel operators are increasingly focusing on differentiated experiences alongside conventional accommodation and service offerings.
For Navi Mumbai, the opening adds 152 rooms to the organised hotel inventory of a market that is gaining importance within the wider Mumbai region. The city's expanding commercial and residential base, together with improving infrastructure connectivity, has increased the relevance of hospitality facilities serving business and leisure travellers. With Athiva Pulse, Chalet Hotels now has its second Athiva property operating under the Autograph Collection brand in India. The launch strengthens the company's presence in the premium lifestyle hospitality segment while adding another Marriott-affiliated property to Navi Mumbai's growing hotel market.
