Godrej Industries Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Haryana government to invest INR 200 billion in the state, as it looks to expand its presence across the northern region. The investment is expected to create around 40,000 jobs.
The group, which operates across consumer goods, real estate and financial services, has already invested about INR 120 billion in Haryana and currently employs around 9,000 people in the state. It reported revenue of USD 7.2 billion in fiscal 2026.
Godrej Properties, the real estate arm of the group, will be a key driver of the proposed investment. The company plans to deploy an additional INR 160 billion in Haryana by fiscal 2028, which would take its total investment in the state to around INR 270 billion.
Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity business, is also planning to invest another INR 35 billion in office infrastructure in Gurugram. The proposed investment is expected to generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Godrej Industries Group Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej said Haryana has become an important growth driver for the group and that the region would remain a market for long-term investment.
The proposed investment adds to the group’s existing presence in Haryana, particularly through Godrej Properties and its growing real estate portfolio. The focus on residential and office infrastructure also comes as Gurugram continues to remain an important commercial and residential market within the National Capital Region.
