Blackstone-backed Horizon Industrial Parks Ltd made a muted debut on the Indian stock exchanges on Monday, with its shares listing close to the issue price of INR 60 per share. The stock opened at INR 59.65 on the BSE, marking a decline of 0.58 percent from the issue price, while it began trading at INR 60.25 on the NSE, representing a marginal gain of 0.41 per cent.
Following the listing, Horizon Industrial Parks had a market valuation of INR 16,873.63 crore. The near-flat debut came after the company's initial public offering received a subscription of 1.45 times on the final day of bidding last week, indicating moderate investor demand for the issue.
The company's INR 2,600 crore IPO was offered in a price band of INR 57-60 per share and comprised entirely a fresh issue of equity shares. There was no offer-for-sale component, meaning the proceeds from the issue will accrue to the company rather than existing shareholders seeking to sell their holdings.
Horizon Industrial Parks had raised INR 1,168 crore from anchor investors ahead of the public issue. The company has proposed to use the IPO proceeds primarily towards repayment of borrowings, with the planned debt reduction expected to support its balance sheet as it continues to operate and expand its industrial and logistics real estate portfolio.
The company is an industrial and logistics infrastructure developer, owner and operator with a portfolio of around 60 million square feet across 46 assets in 10 cities. Its portfolio gives it exposure to India's expanding industrial and logistics infrastructure market, where demand for modern warehousing and distribution facilities has increased alongside the growth of organised supply chains, manufacturing and e-commerce.
Horizon Industrial Parks' listing comes as India's industrial and logistics real estate segment continues to attract institutional capital and developer interest. The sector has emerged as an important part of the country's commercial real estate market, supported by infrastructure development, supply-chain formalisation and increasing demand for strategically located logistics facilities.
The company's flat market debut suggests that investors largely priced the IPO in line with its offer valuation, with limited movement from the INR 60 issue price during the opening trade. Market performance in the coming sessions will provide a clearer indication of investor sentiment towards the company's growth prospects, financial position and exposure to India's industrial and logistics infrastructure market.
