Arada expands into Queensland with AED 5 billion Broadbeach project

Synopsis

UAE-based developer Arada is expanding its Australian operations into Queensland with an AED 5 billion twin-tower residential project in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. The development will be Arada’s first project outside New South Wales and will comprise close to 1,000 homes. Construction will be undertaken by Roberts Co, Arada’s Australian construction subsidiary. The project is planned for completion before the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Brisbane. The expansion follows Arada’s entry into Australia in 2024 and its acquisition of Roberts Co, supporting its plans to build a larger residential development pipeline across the country.

UAE-based developer Arada has expanded into Queensland with plans for an AED 5 billion twin-tower residential development in Broadbeach on Australia's Gold Coast. The project, which will deliver close to 1,000 homes, marks Arada's first development outside New South Wales and its largest commitment to the Australian market so far. Construction will be carried out by Roberts Co, the company's tier-one construction subsidiary.
The development is targeted for completion ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which are expected to support further investment and housing demand across South East Queensland.
The Broadbeach project will comprise 952 residences across two towers connected by a landscaped podium. The homes will range from one to three bedrooms.
The development will be located opposite the Gold Coast Convention Centre, with access to the light rail and proximity to The Star Gold Coast and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. The project will also include around 1,200 square metres of ground-floor retail and hospitality space.
Arada entered the Australian market in 2024 with projects in New South Wales. It later acquired Roberts Co, giving the developer greater control over construction and supporting its expansion into other Australian markets. Roberts Co had also received additional funding from Arada to support its expansion into Queensland, including the Brisbane and Gold Coast regions.
Arada's Australian pipeline has since grown to eight projects and more than 5,000 homes. The Broadbeach development now adds a major Queensland project to that pipeline and extends the company's presence beyond its initial New South Wales focus.
