Synopsis

Global workplace furniture manufacturer Haworth will open an 8,100 sq ft experience centre in Bengaluru as part of its expansion in India's commercial office market. Located on St. Mark's Road in the city's central business district (CBD), the facility will serve architects, designers, corporate occupiers and channel partners by showcasing workplace solutions manufactured in India to global standards. The expansion comes as Bengaluru continues to account for the company's largest deployment of workplace furniture in the country, supported by sustained demand from Global Capability Centres (GCCs), technology firms and multinational occupiers seeking modern office environments.

Haworth India will open a new 8,100 sq ft experience centre in Bengaluru later this year, expanding its presence in one of the country's largest commercial office markets. The facility will be located on St. Mark's Road in the city's central business district (CBD), close to MG Road, Residency Road, Lavelle Road and UB City, positioning the company within one of Bengaluru's established business and commercial precincts.
According to the company, the experience centre has been developed to provide architects, interior designers, corporate occupiers and channel partners with a dedicated space to explore workplace furniture systems and office design solutions manufactured in India to the company's global specifications.
Haworth entered the Indian market in 1997 and has since expanded its local manufacturing operations. The company stated that workplace furniture supplied to Indian clients is now manufactured domestically while adhering to the same design and quality standards followed across its international markets.
The Bengaluru expansion reflects the company's continued focus on a market that has become its largest deployment base for chairs and workstation systems in India. Haworth said the city's concentration of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), technology companies and multinational enterprises has driven sustained demand for premium workplace solutions over the past two decades. The company has supplied workplace products to several multinational corporations and GCCs operating in Bengaluru.
The new experience centre will function as a collaborative space where architects, designers, corporate clients and channel partners can evaluate workplace products, review office layouts and discuss workspace planning requirements. The company said the facility is intended to support organisations as they assess office environments designed around collaboration, flexibility and employee wellbeing.
Managing Director Manish Khandelwal said organisations are increasingly seeking workplace solutions that combine consistent product quality with functionality suited to evolving office requirements. He noted that businesses, particularly in innovation-led markets such as Bengaluru, are placing greater emphasis on employee experience, collaboration and long-term workplace value when making office design decisions.
The company said growing demand for flexible and employee-centric office environments has increased the importance of workplace design in corporate real estate planning. The experience centre has been established to provide customers with an opportunity to compare workspace configurations and evaluate solutions aligned with their operational and workplace objectives.
Haworth stated that the Bengaluru facility forms part of its long-term investment strategy in India. The company said it will continue to invest in local manufacturing, expand its presence in key commercial markets and work with corporate occupiers and the design community as demand for modern workplace solutions continues to evolve.
