Dilip Buildcon Limited has secured a road project worth approximately INR 160 crore in Odisha under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode. The contract strengthens the company's infrastructure portfolio and supports the state's ongoing efforts to improve road connectivity. The project is expected to enhance transport efficiency, facilitate smoother movement of goods and passengers, and contribute to regional economic development. The award comes amid continued government focus on expanding and upgrading road infrastructure to improve connectivity and support industrial and commercial growth across the country.
Infrastructure developer Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract valued at around INR 160 crore for a road project in Odisha. The company informed the stock exchanges that it had received the letter of acceptance for the project, further expanding its order book in the roads and highways segment.
The project involves the improvement of an important road corridor in Odisha and will be executed under the EPC model, under which the contractor is responsible for the complete lifecycle of the project—from engineering and design to procurement of materials and construction. This model is widely used for public infrastructure projects to ensure integrated execution and timely completion.
Once completed, the upgraded road is expected to improve connectivity within the region by reducing travel time and providing better access to nearby towns and economic centres. Improved road infrastructure also facilitates the movement of freight, strengthens supply chains and enhances access to markets, educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
The project is expected to generate employment during the construction phase through demand for engineers, skilled workers, equipment operators and local labour. Ancillary sectors such as transportation, construction materials and logistics are also likely to benefit during the execution period.
For Dilip Buildcon, the latest contract reinforces its presence in India's infrastructure sector, where the company has delivered highway, bridge, irrigation and urban development projects across multiple states. The addition of new road projects helps maintain execution momentum while supporting future revenue visibility.
Odisha has continued to prioritise investment in transport infrastructure as part of its broader development strategy. Road upgrades remain critical for improving regional connectivity, supporting industrial corridors, facilitating agricultural trade and linking emerging economic zones with ports and national highway networks.
The award reflects the government's sustained emphasis on strengthening road infrastructure through public investment. As construction progresses, the project is expected to contribute to safer and more efficient transportation while supporting long-term economic growth and improved connectivity in the state.
