Synopsis

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport has expanded its domestic network to 90 destinations following the launch of direct flight services to Daman. Operated by Alliance Air, the new route further strengthens the airport's domestic connectivity, which now includes direct access to 32 of India's 36 states and Union Territories. The airport currently handles more than 1,050 domestic flight movements every day and serves over 5 million domestic passengers each month. The expanded network also includes seasonal winter destinations such as Khajuraho and Jaisalmer, reinforcing Delhi's position as India's largest domestic aviation hub.

Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has expanded its domestic network to 90 destinations with the launch of direct flight services between Delhi and Daman. The newly introduced route is being operated by Alliance Air, further improving connectivity between the national capital and the Union Territory.
With the addition of Daman, Delhi Airport now provides direct flight connectivity to 90 domestic destinations across the country. According to DIAL, it is the only airport in India offering direct connectivity to 32 of the country's 36 states and Union Territories, highlighting its role as a major aviation hub for domestic travel.
The airport currently records more than 1,050 domestic flight movements every day and handles over 5 million domestic passengers every month, reflecting the continued growth in domestic air travel demand. The domestic network also includes seasonal winter routes to destinations such as Khajuraho and Jaisalmer.
DIAL Chief Executive Officer Pradeep Panicker said the airport reaching the milestone of 90 domestic destinations and becoming the only airport in the country to offer direct connectivity to 32 states and Union Territories reflects its continued focus on improving accessibility, supporting regional economic development and providing travellers with a wider range of travel options.
Delhi Airport has steadily expanded its domestic network in recent years as passenger traffic continues to recover and grow. Improved regional connectivity has also been supported by the Government of India's regional aviation initiatives, helping connect smaller cities and tourism destinations with major metropolitan centres. The addition of Daman is expected to strengthen travel options for both business and leisure passengers while improving access to the western coastal region.
Delhi International Airport Ltd is a consortium led by GMR Aero and operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport, one of the country's busiest airports by passenger traffic and aircraft movements.
