Park Medi World has announced the acquisition of Mehar Hospital in Zirakpur for INR 107 crore through an all-cash transaction, strengthening its presence across the Tricity region of Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula. The 150-plus bed multi-super speciality hospital is expected to begin operations under the Park brand in November 2026. Alongside the acquisition, the company reported strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with higher revenue and profit after tax compared to the corresponding period last year, reflecting continued expansion across North India.
Park Medi World has announced that it will acquire Mehar Hospital, a multi-super speciality healthcare facility in Zirakpur, through an all-cash transaction valued at INR 107 crore.
The acquisition will strengthen the Park Group's presence across the Tricity region comprising Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula. According to the company's regulatory filing, the hospital is expected to start operating under the Park brand in November 2026.
Mehar Hospital has a capacity of more than 150 beds. With this acquisition, Park Group will further expand its healthcare network in Punjab, adding to its existing presence in Panchkula, Mohali, Patiala and Bathinda.
Commenting on the acquisition, Park Medi World Managing Director Ankit Gupta said the company has continued to invest in Punjab as part of its long-term growth strategy. He said the Tricity region remains one of North India's fastest-growing healthcare markets, and the acquisition of Mehar Hospital will strengthen the group's regional network while complementing its existing hospitals across Punjab and Haryana.
The acquisition comes as hospital operators continue to expand through acquisitions and capacity additions to meet rising demand for organised healthcare services in Tier I and Tier II cities. In recent years, several healthcare chains have focused on expanding their footprint in North India through brownfield acquisitions, allowing them to scale operations faster than setting up new facilities.
Alongside the acquisition announcement, Park Medi World reported its financial results for the first quarter of FY27. The company posted a profit after tax of INR 88.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with INR 65.51 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Consolidated revenue from operations also increased to INR 475.71 crore during the quarter from INR 398.85 crore a year earlier, reflecting growth in the company's healthcare business as it continues to expand its hospital network.
