The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has allotted 108 returnable plots to 95 farmers from Undavalli village who had contributed land for the Amaravati capital city project. The allotment was carried out through a transparent online e-lottery process in the presence of the beneficiaries, with provisional certificates distributed after the draw. The plots were allotted under the Negotiated Settlement Policy and as compensation for land acquired for the Seed Access Road. Farmers were also advised to complete the registration process, with survey and GIS teams set to assist in identifying their allotted plots.
The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has allotted 108 returnable plots to 95 farmers of Undavalli village who had contributed their land for the development of the Amaravati capital city project. The allotment was carried out through an online e-lottery at the APCRDA headquarters in Rayapudi.
To ensure transparency, APCRDA first conducted a trial run of the online randomisation system for both residential and commercial plots in the presence of the beneficiaries. After the demonstration, the live e-lottery was conducted and provisional allotment certificates were distributed to the eligible farmers by APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabathula Karthik, IAS.
Under the Negotiated Settlement Policy, APCRDA allotted 74 residential returnable plots to 79 farmers from Undavalli village. Apart from this, 34 returnable plots were allotted to farmers who had lost their land for the construction of the Seed Access Road. These included 19 residential plots and 15 commercial plots.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Karthik advised the farmers who received returnable plots to complete the registration process at the earliest. He also informed them that GIS personnel and village surveyors would provide assistance in identifying the exact geographical location and boundaries of their allotted plots to facilitate the registration process.
The Amaravati Land Pooling Scheme provides developed returnable residential and commercial plots to farmers who voluntarily surrendered their land for the construction of the greenfield capital city. Over the years, APCRDA has been conducting e-lottery-based allotments in different villages to maintain transparency and ensure fair distribution of developed plots under the land pooling framework.
The programme was attended by K.S. Bhagya Rekha, Director (Lands); B. Suresh Kumar, Director (FAC), Planning Department; V. Kushwanth, Additional Director, IT; A.G. Chinnikrishna, Special Deputy Collector; along with officials and staff from the Planning and GIS Departments.
