Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchisor, is bringing its European lifestyle brand Vienna House to India with the signing of a 100-key Vienna House Easy hotel in Vrindavan. The property is scheduled to open in 2029.
Dimitris Manikis, President, EMEA, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the company currently has more than 50 hotels in its pipeline across India. Around 25-30 per cent of these properties are expected to open over the next two years.
Manikis said Wyndham is expected to close the year with around 100 operational hotels in India, reflecting the company's continued expansion in the country.
The Vrindavan property will operate under the Vienna House Easy brand, which Wyndham describes as a European lifestyle offering. The company sees an opportunity for the brand in destinations such as Vrindavan, which attract travellers for cultural, spiritual and discovery-led experiences.
Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said the brand would combine international hospitality standards with a sense of place suited to destinations such as Vrindavan.
The entry of Vienna House adds another brand to Wyndham's growing portfolio in India, where the company is expanding its hotel network across both established and emerging destinations.
