ITC Hotels Limited has signed a management agreement for a 51-key hotel in Assagao, North Goa, under its Storii by ITC Hotels brand. The property will be developed in partnership with Ananda Hospitality Services Private Limited.
Storii Assagao will comprise well-appointed rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant and a range of dining, social and recreational facilities. The hotel is planned around Assagao's character and its location near the area's restaurants, boutique retail, natural attractions and popular beaches.
Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels, said Goa remains an important market for the company's leisure expansion. He said Assagao has emerged as an attractive micro-market due to its distinct character, visitor appeal and changing travel preferences. He added that the hotel will combine the local character of the area with Storii's focus on personalised service and guest experiences.
Purshottam Sharma and Dilip Sharma, partners at Ananda Hospitality Services, said Assagao has developed into a sought-after hospitality destination for travellers seeking curated stays. They said the partnership with ITC Hotels would help create a property reflecting the character of the region.
The signing adds to ITC Hotels' presence in North Goa, which has benefited from tourism demand, improving connectivity and growing interest in experiential leisure travel. Assagao's tree-lined streets, residential neighbourhoods and proximity to key tourism areas have also contributed to its emergence as a hospitality market.
The new property will add to ITC Hotels' portfolio across Goa and its wider expansion in leisure destinations. The company operates seven brands across luxury, premium, upper-upscale, boutique, mid-market and heritage segments, including Storii, which operates in the premium boutique category.
ITC Hotels began operations in 1975 and currently has a portfolio of more than 150 properties with over 14,200 keys across India, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The company also has a focus on sustainable hospitality and operates properties certified under LEED programmes.
