Fintech company PhonePe has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to integrate its enterprise data intelligence platform, PulsePro, with the PM GatiShakti framework. The platform uses aggregated and anonymised transaction data to provide market signals and hyperlocal insights across geographies and categories. The collaboration is intended to support infrastructure planning, economic analysis and urban and rural development by adding real-world activity trends to the existing datasets available through the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan.
PhonePe has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to integrate its enterprise data intelligence platform, PulsePro, into the PM GatiShakti framework.
PulsePro converts aggregated and anonymised transaction data into market signals, giving organisations access to real-world activity trends across different geographies and categories. The insights are intended to support data-based decision-making by providing a more detailed view of activity at the local level.
According to PhonePe, the collaboration will support national infrastructure planning, economic analysis and urban and rural development through granular, hyperlocal insights.
Under the agreement, PhonePe PulsePro metrics will be integrated into the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan portal. The portal is managed in collaboration with the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N).
MeitY Secretary S Krishnan said data-driven intelligence could support more informed planning and decision-making. He added that the granular and hyperlocal insights available through PulsePro could complement existing datasets and provide additional visibility into emerging trends across markets and geographies.
The integration will bring transaction-based activity indicators into a government planning framework that already brings together geospatial and infrastructure-related datasets. This could provide additional inputs for assessing economic activity and planning infrastructure at a more localised level.
