Amazon Web Services (AWS) plans to open an AWS Builder Loft in Hyderabad as part of its global expansion of permanent community spaces for developers and technology professionals. Hyderabad will be among three new locations, alongside Berlin and São Paulo. The spaces will offer free workshops, networking events, pitch nights, content creation facilities and collaboration areas. The Hyderabad facility will focus on helping Indian developers build skills in artificial intelligence and cloud-native technologies while connecting with other professionals. AWS launched its first Builder Loft in San Francisco in 2025, with the new locations expanding the initiative internationally.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced plans to open an AWS Builder Loft in Hyderabad, making the city one of three new global locations for its developer community initiative alongside Berlin and São Paulo.
The permanent community spaces will provide free workshops, networking events, pitch nights, content creation facilities and collaboration and co-working areas. They will also be available for event hosting and are intended for developers, students and technology professionals.
AWS said the Hyderabad Builder Loft will provide Indian developers with a dedicated space to develop skills in artificial intelligence, explore cloud-native architecture and connect with peers working on applications for Indian and global markets.
The first AWS Builder Loft was launched in San Francisco in July 2025. Following its response and uptake, AWS is now expanding the concept to Hyderabad, Berlin and São Paulo.
David Nalley, Director of Developer Experience at AWS, said the company's developer community had supported AWS since the launch of its first services two decades ago. He said the Builder Lofts were intended as a way for AWS to invest in that community by providing physical spaces where developers can build, learn and collaborate in person.
The Hyderabad facility will add to the city's growing technology ecosystem, which includes a large base of IT companies, startups, developers and engineering talent. Its focus on AI and cloud technologies is also aligned with the increasing adoption of these technologies across India's technology sector.
