Synopsis

B-Right Real Estate Group has outlined a Mumbai-focused development roadmap targeting approximately 4.7 million sq ft of real estate development by 2033. The company, founded in 2007, has built its business around redevelopment and Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) projects across the city. At its Vision 2033 event in Mumbai on August 16, the group identified financial discipline, governance, design, neighbourhood development and stakeholder coordination as key areas for its future operations. Its upcoming portfolio includes Grandeur in Mulund West, Shivaji Nagar in Borivali West, SKY54 in Malad East, Ultra City in Goregaon West and Godavari in Chembur. The company is also expanding the involvement of the next generation, with Rudra Shah taking a greater role in project execution and technology.

B-Right Real Estate Group has set a target to develop approximately 4.7 million sq ft of real estate in Mumbai by 2033, outlining its long-term development strategy at the company’s Vision 2033 event held in the city on August 16. The Mumbai-focused developer, which was founded in 2007, said its growth strategy will continue to centre on redevelopment-led projects, with financial discipline, governance, design and community development forming key elements of its roadmap.
The company has primarily undertaken redevelopment and SRA projects across Mumbai. Founder, Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Nathalal Shah said the group’s approach to redevelopment extends beyond construction and is centred on creating safer homes, stronger communities and better neighbourhoods.
Financial discipline was identified as another core principle of the group’s operating approach. Shah said projects should have sufficient financial strength to progress and avoid delays or stoppages without being entirely dependent on sales. The company intends to maintain this approach as it expands its project portfolio over the coming years.
Governance and transparency also feature prominently in the roadmap. As a BSE-listed company, B-Right Real Estate said it operates under greater scrutiny from regulators, institutional investors, lenders and other stakeholders. According to Shah, these stakeholders contribute to greater accountability across the company’s operations.
The group’s development target of approximately 4.7 million sq ft through 2033 will remain within Mumbai. Its upcoming portfolio comprises Grandeur in Mulund West, Shivaji Nagar in Borivali West, SKY54 in Malad East, Ultra City in Goregaon West and Godavari in Chembur. The projects are being planned around the company’s stated focus on neighbourhoods, design and community-oriented development.
SKY54 in Malad East is among the group’s significant upcoming developments, with approximately 650,000 sq ft of development planned. The project is being undertaken under the SRA framework and will comprise residential and commercial components.
The company also discussed its approach to complex redevelopment assignments, particularly stalled and distressed projects involving residents, homebuyers, investors and lenders. Shah said such projects require different stakeholder interests to be brought together to establish a workable way forward.
The Vision 2033 event also highlighted the increasing involvement of the next generation in the business. Rudra Shah, son of Sanjay Shah, is taking on responsibilities focused on on-ground project execution and technology. While Sanjay Shah continues to contribute his experience in finance and project financial discipline, Rudra is focusing on implementation at the project level and the use of technology to advance developments.
Rudra Shah said his role involves working directly on the ground and applying technology to help move projects forward. The company said the transition is intended to introduce a new generation of leadership while maintaining its existing approach to business operations, governance and integrity.
