#International News#Industrial#China
Synopsis

Montea has signed a long-term lease agreement with Chinese e-commerce company JD.com for approximately 50,000 square metres of logistics space in Willebroek, Belgium. The site, located between Antwerp and Brussels, will become JD.com’s new Belgian logistics hub. The property was previously used as a logistics hub by Decathlon and is positioned in an important logistics corridor serving the Benelux region. The agreement comes as e-commerce continues to support demand for strategically located logistics facilities, particularly those offering access to major urban markets and transport connections.

Montea has signed a long-term lease agreement with JD.com for approximately 50,000 square metres at a logistics location in Willebroek, Belgium.
The property, known as the former Decathlon hub at Park De Hulst, will become JD.com’s new Belgian logistics hub. Its location between Antwerp and Brussels gives the facility access to two of Belgium’s major urban and logistics centres.
The agreement comes as e-commerce activity continues to support demand for large logistics facilities in strategically located markets across the Benelux region. For JD.com, the Willebroek facility will provide a base for its logistics operations in Belgium.
Montea, a Belgian real estate company focused on logistics properties, said the lease reflects the continued growth of e-commerce in the Benelux region. The company has been expanding its portfolio around major logistics corridors and transport hubs.
The Willebroek site is part of Montea’s portfolio of logistics properties in Belgium. The company has also been investing in logistics locations around the Port of Antwerp and Brussels, reflecting the importance of these areas for distribution and supply-chain activity.
The lease with JD.com adds another major occupier to the Belgian logistics market and places a large existing facility under a long-term agreement. The transaction also highlights continued demand for well-connected logistics properties as online retailers expand their distribution networks.
