Ayala Corporation has purchased 600,000 common shares of Ayala Land Inc. at an average price of 15.180 Philippine pesos per share, according to a Reuters report. The transaction increases Ayala Corporation's holding in its real estate subsidiary, although the latest transaction alone represents a relatively small addition to its overall stake. Ayala Land is one of the Philippines' largest property developers, with operations spanning residential and commercial development, estates, offices, retail, hotels and other real estate businesses. Ayala Corporation remained the company's controlling shareholder, with an effective ownership of 51.85% as of the end of 2024.

Ayala Corporation purchased 600,000 common shares of Ayala Land at an average price of 15.180 Philippine pesos per share, according to a Reuters report.
The purchase adds to Ayala Corporation's existing interest in Ayala Land, its major real estate subsidiary. As of the end of 2024, Ayala Corporation had an effective ownership of 51.85% in Ayala Land, while public shareholders held 47.27%. Ayala Land had 14.70 billion outstanding common shares at that time.
Ayala Land was originally the real estate division of Ayala Corporation and was incorporated in 1988 before becoming a publicly listed company in 1991. Over the years, Ayala Corporation's ownership has changed through share disposals, new share issuances and other corporate transactions. In 2021, Ayala Corporation also carried out a block share purchase programme through which it acquired 10.1 billion Ayala Land shares.
Ayala Land has a broad real estate portfolio covering large integrated estates, residential projects, office and commercial developments, industrial lots, shopping centres, hotels and resorts, co-living spaces and other property-related businesses. The company had 53 estates and a presence across 57 growth centres in the Philippines, with a land bank of more than 10,000 hectares at the end of 2024.
The latest share purchase comes as Ayala Land continues to operate across multiple real estate segments. The company reported consolidated revenue of 180.74 billion Philippine pesos in 2024, up 21% from the previous year, while net income increased 15% to 28.23 billion Philippine pesos. Real estate revenue stood at 176.53 billion Philippine pesos during the year.
Ayala Land has also continued to expand its property portfolio and regional presence. In 2025, the company acquired the 578-room New World Hotel in Makati and consolidated its ownership of Cebu District Property Enterprise, which develops the Gatewalk Central estate in Cebu.
