Arab Development and Real Estate Investment recorded a net loss after tax of EGP 1.9 million in the first half of 2026, according to the company’s latest financial results.
The company reported revenue of EGP 4.1 million during the six-month period. The results mark a weaker performance compared with the previous year, when the company had reported a profit for the corresponding period. Reuters reported the latest figures this week.
The decline follows a weaker first quarter. Arab Development and Real Estate Investment recorded net profit of EGP 3,387 in the first quarter of 2026, down 60.34% from EGP 8,542 a year earlier. Revenue during the quarter declined to EGP 1.607 million from EGP 2.461 million in the same period of the previous year.
The company had ended 2025 on a stronger note, recording net profit of EGP 12.708 million, compared with EGP 290,820 in 2024. This represented a sharp increase in annual profit, although the weaker results reported during the current year indicate that the improvement has not continued into 2026.
Arab Development and Real Estate Investment is engaged in real estate investment activities, including the sale and purchase and subdivision of land, preparing land with required infrastructure, and developing residential, administrative and commercial buildings. The company also sells or leases units and undertakes their marketing. It is listed on the Egyptian Exchange and operates in the real estate sector.
The latest results come as the company continues to operate within Egypt’s listed real estate market, where performance varies considerably among developers and investment companies. Arab Development and Real Estate Investment is classified on the SME market of the Egyptian Exchange.
The company’s financial performance will now depend on its ability to improve revenue and return to profitability during the remaining part of the year. The first-half loss, following the decline already seen in the first quarter, puts greater focus on whether revenue growth can recover in the coming quarters.
