Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an ultra-mega order in the Middle East for the development of multiple offshore facilities, expanding the infrastructure major’s portfolio of large-scale energy projects in the region. L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) will execute the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) work for the facilities. L&T classifies orders valued above INR 15,000 crore as ultra-mega. The company said the award reinforces LTEH Offshore’s presence in the Middle East and reflects customer confidence in its ability to execute complex offshore developments. The business has integrated engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication and installation capabilities, supported by an offshore vessel fleet. Over four decades, it has delivered fixed platforms, subsea pipelines, brownfield modifications, deepwater structures and pipelines, and decommissioning projects across global markets.
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an ultra-mega order in the Middle East for the development of multiple offshore facilities, with its hydrocarbon business set to undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of the project. The infrastructure major disclosed the award in a filing with the BSE on Monday.
L&T classifies orders valued at more than INR 15,000 crore as ultra-mega orders. The company has not disclosed the exact value of the latest Middle East contract, in line with its practice of categorising large orders by value bands.
The project will be executed by L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore), which will undertake the complete EPCIC scope for the offshore facilities. The contract adds to the business's portfolio of large and technically complex offshore developments in the Middle East.
L&T said the award reinforced LTEH Offshore's long-standing presence in the region and reflected the confidence of its customers in its ability to execute complex offshore projects. The business has highlighted its capability to deliver such projects with emphasis on safety, scheduled execution and quality standards.
LTEH Offshore's execution capabilities are supported by integrated in-house engineering, project management, procurement, fabrication and installation operations. The business also has a fleet of vessels that supports its offshore construction and installation activities.
The company has executed offshore developments across multiple project types and geographies over the past four decades. Its experience includes fixed offshore platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, brownfield upgrades and modifications, as well as deepwater subsea structures and pipelines.
The business has also undertaken decommissioning programmes, adding another area of offshore project execution to its portfolio. These capabilities cover different stages of the offshore infrastructure lifecycle, from engineering and fabrication through installation, commissioning and modifications.
The latest award comes as LTEH Offshore continues to undertake large projects in the Middle East, a market where the business has maintained a presence over several decades. Its integrated delivery model combines engineering and project management with procurement, fabrication and offshore installation capabilities.
L&T said its experience in handling complex offshore developments and its access to specialised vessels provide the capabilities required for projects of this scale. The company did not disclose the identity of the Middle East customer, the specific offshore facilities covered by the contract or the project's execution timeline.
Larsen & Toubro is an Indian multinational with activities spanning engineering, procurement and construction, hi-tech manufacturing, products and services. The company has operations across multiple business segments and geographies, with its energy and infrastructure businesses executing projects in India and international markets.
The latest ultra-mega order strengthens L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore's order pipeline in the Middle East and adds another large offshore EPCIC assignment to its international project portfolio.
