Synopsis

Cloudangles, a California-headquartered deep-tech and enterprise technology company, has opened a Global Engineering Centre (GEC) in Hyderabad as part of its plans to expand its engineering and technology capabilities. The centre, which became operational earlier this week, is expected to scale to 1,000 engineers over the next two years. Its operations will cover application development, engineering, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, digital productivity, innovation and corporate systems. The facility will also focus on product engineering, advanced analytics, cloud and emerging technologies as Cloudangles expands its global engineering operations.

Hyderabad has added another global technology centre with Cloudangles, a California-headquartered IP-driven deep-tech and enterprise technology company, opening its Global Engineering Centre in the city.
The centre became operational earlier this week and is expected to scale its workforce to 1,000 engineers over the next two years. The expansion is expected to add to Hyderabad’s growing base of engineering and technology operations serving global markets.
The GEC will handle a wide range of functions, including digital and technology services, application development and engineering, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, digital productivity and innovation. It will also support corporate systems and other specialised technology functions.
As the centre expands, Cloudangles plans to build capabilities in product engineering, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, cloud technologies and other emerging technology areas. The facility will therefore serve both as an engineering base and as a centre for developing specialised technology capabilities for the company’s global operations.
The centre was inaugurated by Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu along with Cloudangles CEO N Revathipathi.
Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had become one of the preferred locations for global capability centres and that the focus was now on strengthening the talent and specialised capabilities that attract global businesses. He added that investments such as Cloudangles’ engineering centre would create high-value engineering jobs, build specialised skills and give local professionals opportunities to work on complex technology requirements for global markets.
Revathipathi said the Hyderabad facility marked an important stage in the company’s efforts to strengthen its global engineering capabilities. He said Cloudangles would bring together its deep-tech expertise, engineering talent and global client relationships to develop capabilities serving businesses across international markets.
The expansion comes as Hyderabad continues to attract technology and global capability centre operations because of its established technology ecosystem and availability of engineering talent. The city has also seen companies expand beyond traditional IT services into areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics and product development. Cloudangles’ planned 1,000-member engineering workforce places its new centre within this broader shift towards higher-value technology and engineering functions.
