DLF Retail has launched Midtown Plaza, its first neighbourhood lifestyle plaza, on Shivaji Marg in Moti Nagar, West Delhi, bringing together retail, dining, entertainment and everyday services across approximately 2.8 lakh sq. ft. The destination has a catchment of nearly 2.5 million residents and houses around 150 brands across multiple categories.
The retail mix includes Go Fresh, Reliance Digital, Mr. DIY and HomeStop, along with a three-screen PVR Cinemas multiplex. The centre also includes a selection of Indian and emerging brands spanning fashion, apparel, footwear, jewellery and accessories. Fashion and lifestyle labels at the destination include House of Kari, Basanti (Kapde & Koffee), Roza and Office & You, while jewellery brands include Sangeeta Boochra, Bluestone, Sennes and Palmonas. Several of these brands are making their debut in West Delhi, according to DLF Retail.
Food and beverage forms another component of the centre's tenant mix, with cafés including Alienkind, Blue Tokai, Third Wave Coffee, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL), Dohful, Chaayos and Keventers. Dining outlets include Café Tonino, Spezia Bistro, Dasaprakash, Draavin Canteen, Punjab Grill, YouMee, Prince Chaat, Aku's Burger, Underdoggs and Mount Fuji.
The development has also been introduced through DLF Retail's "Hello Neighbour" campaign, which focuses on the surrounding community and features residents from DLF One Mid Town and Capital Greens. The campaign is being rolled out across print, outdoor and digital platforms as part of the company's launch communication.
Pushpa Bector, Group Executive Director and Business Head, DLF Retail, said the project represented the company's move towards neighbourhood retail formats that combine shopping, dining, entertainment and everyday conveniences. She said Midtown Plaza had been designed around the requirements of the surrounding community and represented DLF Retail's first neighbourhood lifestyle plaza.
The centre has attracted several established brands. Ranjit Paliath, CEO of Lite Bite Foods, said the company had brought Punjab Grill and YouMee to the destination in response to the growth of West Delhi's retail and lifestyle market. TONI&GUY has also opened a salon at Midtown Plaza, with directors Sonali Bhambi and Raghav Bhambi stating that the location would strengthen the brand's presence in Delhi and bring its salon services closer to customers.
Geetanjali Salon has also established a new outlet at the centre. Sumit Israni, Creative and Managing Director of Geetanjali Salon, said the outlet had been designed around the character of the neighbourhood while retaining the company's beauty and salon offering.
Since its launch, Midtown Plaza has hosted activities including PVR screenings, wellness activations by Kama Ayurveda and SoulTree, store launches and programmes involving residents from surrounding communities.
The launch adds a neighbourhood-focused retail format to DLF Retail's portfolio, with the company targeting residents in West Delhi through a combination of retail, food and beverage, entertainment and community-oriented offerings.
