Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has received a Letter of Award for setting up a 124 MWp DC solar power project. The project will include a 124 MWp DC/88 MW AC solar photovoltaic plant and an associated 132/33 kV Pooling Substation. The company will handle the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar plant as well as the associated balance-of-system infrastructure. The scope also covers civil works and the complete execution of the pooling substation. The solar generation assets will be spread across multiple project sites.
Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has received a Letter of Award for setting up a 124 MWp DC solar power project, according to a company statement issued on Monday. The project will comprise a 124 MWp DC/88 MW AC solar photovoltaic plant along with an associated 132/33 kV Pooling Substation (PSS).
Under the order, Waaree Renewable Technologies will be responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the solar PV plant. Its scope will also cover installation, testing and commissioning of the plant and the associated balance-of-system infrastructure required for the project.
The company will also undertake the engineering, procurement and civil works related to the pooling substation. The scope includes erection, installation, testing and commissioning of the 132/33 kV PSS.
The project will have solar generation assets located across multiple project sites. However, the company statement did not disclose the locations of the individual sites, the project value or the expected commissioning timeline.
Waaree Renewable Technologies Director Sunil Rathi said the order reflects the confidence customers have placed in the company’s EPC capabilities and execution strength.
The order adds to the company’s utility-scale solar EPC portfolio. In its latest available annual report, Waaree Renewable Technologies reported that its business includes utility-scale solar projects, including turnkey and balance-of-system work, along with rooftop, floating solar, hybrid and other renewable energy projects. The company had also reported an order book supported by projects across India and international locations.
The company’s EPC business covers the execution of solar power projects from engineering and procurement through construction and commissioning. Its earlier reported project portfolio included ground-mounted solar projects as well as rooftop and floating solar installations.
The latest order will require the company to execute both the main solar generation facility and the associated electrical infrastructure, making the pooling substation an integral part of the project’s scope.
