Synopsis

Wistron Corp's Vietnam subsidiary has signed a civil engineering contract valued at 1.7718 trillion Vietnamese dong (around USD 67.47 million) to build new manufacturing plants and warehouses in Vietnam. The investment is part of the Taiwanese electronics manufacturer's ongoing expansion in the country as it strengthens its production base outside China. The project is expected to support Wistron's manufacturing capacity and long-term business growth in Vietnam, which has become an important hub for global electronics and technology companies.

Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Wistron Corp has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Wistron Infocomm (Vietnam) Co., has entered into a civil engineering contract to construct new plants and warehouses in Vietnam.
The contract is valued at 1.7718 trillion Vietnamese dong, equivalent to approximately USD 67.47 million. According to the company's regulatory filing, the project covers the construction of manufacturing facilities and warehouse infrastructure to support its operations in the country.
The latest contract forms part of Wistron's continued expansion in Vietnam, where the company has been increasing investments to strengthen its manufacturing footprint. Vietnam has emerged as a preferred production destination for several global technology companies and suppliers as they diversify their supply chains and expand manufacturing capacity in Southeast Asia.
In the past week, Wistron also increased its overall investment in construction and equipment for its Vietnam operations to around USD 178.27 million. The additional investment was allocated towards factory buildings, warehouses and supporting infrastructure at the Kim Bang Industrial Park in northern Vietnam, reflecting the company's long-term manufacturing plans in the country.
Wistron established its manufacturing presence in Vietnam in 2020 and currently operates production facilities for information and communications technology products. The expansion aligns with the company's strategy to enhance production capacity and support growing customer demand.
