Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement to develop the 208-key Radisson RED Mumbai International Airport, with the hotel scheduled to open by December 2026. Located about four minutes from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, the property will provide connectivity to major commercial and business districts, including Andheri MIDC, SEEPZ Mumbai, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and the Jio World Convention Centre. The signing will expand Radisson Hotel Group's portfolio in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to eight properties, reinforcing its presence in one of India's busiest business and travel markets. The development reflects continued investment in airport-linked hospitality assets catering to business travellers and transit guests.
Radisson Hotel Group has signed the Radisson RED Mumbai International Airport, a 208-key hotel scheduled to open by December 2026, further expanding its hospitality portfolio in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The company announced the signing on Tuesday, stating that the property will strengthen its presence in one of India's principal commercial and aviation hubs.
The hotel will be located approximately four minutes from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, offering access to key business and commercial districts across Mumbai. According to the company, the location has been selected to serve business travellers, corporate visitors and transit passengers seeking accommodation close to the airport and major employment centres.
The property will also provide connectivity to Andheri MIDC, SEEPZ Mumbai, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and the Jio World Convention Centre, all of which are among Mumbai's prominent business and convention destinations. Its location is expected to position the hotel within one of the city's busiest hospitality corridors, where demand is driven by corporate travel, exhibitions, conferences and international connectivity.
With the addition of the Radisson RED Mumbai International Airport, Radisson Hotel Group's presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region will increase to eight hotels. The latest signing forms part of the company's ongoing strategy to expand its footprint across key gateway cities and strengthen its portfolio in high-demand urban markets.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, said the company remains focused on expanding its presence in strategic gateway cities while introducing hospitality brands that align with the evolving preferences of modern travellers.
Radisson RED is the group's lifestyle hospitality brand, positioned to cater to guests seeking contemporary accommodation with technology-enabled services, flexible social spaces and modern design. The Mumbai property is expected to serve both domestic and international travellers owing to its proximity to the airport and major commercial districts.
Mumbai continues to be one of India's largest hospitality markets, supported by sustained business travel, financial services, multinational corporate activity and a growing meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment. Airport-linked hotel developments have also gained prominence in recent years as operators seek to cater to increasing passenger traffic and corporate demand.
The signing of the new property adds to Radisson Hotel Group's growing presence in India's metropolitan markets and reflects continued investment by hotel operators in strategically located hospitality assets that benefit from strong transport connectivity and proximity to commercial hubs.
