OTU India, owned by Kaamlo Platform Pvt Ltd, plans to accelerate the development of its workforce management platform following a strategic investment from Tally Solutions. The company will use the funding to enhance its flagship OTUHRPLUS platform, expand customer acquisition and strengthen its presence across India over the next 12 to 24 months. OTUHRPLUS digitises employee management processes, including recruitment, attendance, payroll and shift scheduling, with a particular focus on manufacturing and construction businesses. The company expects to achieve operational break-even during the current financial year and is evaluating a Series A funding round to support international expansion. A key element of the partnership is the integration of OTUHRPLUS with TallyPrime to streamline workforce and payroll management.
OTU India, owned by Kaamlo Platform Pvt Ltd, has announced plans to accelerate product development and business expansion following a strategic investment from Tally Solutions. The Bengaluru-based company said the investment will support the growth of its workforce management platform, OTUHRPLUS, which serves micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including businesses operating in the construction sector.
The company stated that the investment will primarily be directed towards product development and customer acquisition over the next 12 to 24 months. OTU India also plans to strengthen its market presence across India while continuing to develop digital workforce management solutions for businesses seeking to automate employee administration and operational processes.
According to the company, OTUHRPLUS manages the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, attendance tracking, payroll processing and shift management. It said the platform has been designed to address workforce management challenges faced by businesses operating in traditionally unorganised industries, particularly manufacturing and construction.
Managing Director of Tally Solutions, Tejas Goenka, said the investment aligns with the company's broader strategy of expanding business technology solutions beyond accounting and compliance into workforce management and operational efficiency. He stated that the partnership is intended to simplify workforce administration for MSMEs by providing a more integrated digital ecosystem, enabling businesses to manage employees and operations through connected software solutions.
Pratik Maheshwari, Co-founder of OTU India, said the investment from Tally Solutions would be used largely to strengthen OTUHRPLUS through continued product enhancement and customer acquisition initiatives. He added that the company expects to achieve operational break-even during the current financial year and is already evaluating a follow-on Series A funding round to support global expansion.
Maheshwari further stated that the manufacturing and construction sectors present significant opportunities for workforce digitisation due to their complex labour management requirements. He noted that overtime and shift management remain key operational challenges for many MSMEs and said the company's extensive channel partner network enables it to provide implementation and customer support at scale without increasing service costs.
As part of the collaboration, OTUHRPLUS will be integrated with TallyPrime, allowing businesses to synchronise workforce and payroll data between human resources and finance functions through a single interface. According to the company, the integration is intended to minimise manual data entry and reduce inconsistencies between HR and finance records, responding to long-standing customer demand for a more seamless connection between workforce management and business accounting systems.
