Synopsis

Mayfair Housing has entered into a three-year strategic partnership with Autodesk to deploy Autodesk Forma across its development and redevelopment projects, as part of its digital transformation strategy. The cloud-based, AI-enabled platform will strengthen the company's Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow by supporting data-driven planning, environmental simulations and stakeholder collaboration from the early stages of project development. MicroGenesis has been appointed as the implementation partner for the rollout. The initiative aims to improve project coordination, planning efficiency and decision-making by creating a unified digital ecosystem that integrates design, planning and execution across the project lifecycle.

Mumbai-based Mayfair Housing has announced a three-year strategic partnership with Autodesk to deploy Autodesk Forma across its development and redevelopment portfolio, as the real estate developer advances its digital transformation programme. The company said the initiative will establish a connected digital ecosystem designed to improve project planning, collaboration and execution through technology-enabled workflows.
As part of the agreement, Mayfair Housing will implement Autodesk Forma, an AI-enabled, cloud-based platform developed to support architects, planners and developers during the initial stages of project planning and design. The platform combines real-world data, environmental simulations and collaborative tools to facilitate informed decision-making before projects progress to detailed design and construction.
The deployment forms part of the company's wider Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategy. According to Mayfair Housing, Autodesk Forma will strengthen BIM processes by enabling data-driven planning, improving collaboration among project teams and supporting the management of project information throughout the design and development lifecycle. The platform is designed to integrate with downstream BIM processes, providing continuity across various stages of project delivery.
MicroGenesis has been appointed as the implementation and technology partner for the programme. The company will oversee platform deployment, process mapping, user training and change management to support adoption of the digital platform across the organisation.
Mayfair Housing said Autodesk Forma will allow project teams to evaluate multiple development scenarios, generate site planning and massing concepts, and conduct environmental assessments during the early planning phase. The platform enables simulations covering factors such as sunlight, daylight, wind, noise levels and embodied carbon, allowing design teams to assess project options before finalising detailed plans. The company expects this approach to reduce design revisions during later stages while improving planning efficiency.
The cloud-based platform also enables multiple stakeholders to work within a shared digital environment by providing real-time access to project information, planning data and design concepts. Mayfair Housing said the common workspace is expected to improve coordination between architects, engineering teams, consultants and project leadership, resulting in quicker reviews, greater transparency and more efficient decision-making.
Autodesk Forma also integrates with Autodesk's broader software ecosystem, including Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud, allowing project information to flow seamlessly from concept planning through to design and execution.
Commenting on the partnership, Anay Nayan Shah, Joint Managing Director of Mayfair Housing, said the increasing scale and complexity of modern real estate developments require a more integrated and collaborative approach to project delivery. He stated that digital transformation has become a strategic priority for the sector and described the partnership with Autodesk as an important milestone in the company's efforts to build a technology-driven project ecosystem. He added that Autodesk Forma is expected to enhance transparency, strengthen collaboration among stakeholders and improve execution standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Mayfair Housing said the adoption of AI, cloud collaboration and digital design technologies is expected to support more efficient project planning and execution while laying the foundation for future innovation across its residential development portfolio.
