Synopsis

Kamdhenu reported a 34 per cent year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the first quarter of FY27, supported by higher revenue and improved sales volumes. The company's revenue from operations and steel sales both registered steady growth during the quarter, driven by better performance across its product portfolio. Manufacturing volumes from both owned facilities and franchisee operations also increased compared to the corresponding period last year. The company remains optimistic about demand, citing the government's continued infrastructure and manufacturing push as a key growth driver for the steel sector.

Kamdhenu has reported a 34 per cent year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit to INR 28.7 crore for the first quarter of FY27, supported by higher revenue and improved sales performance.
The company had posted a net profit of INR 21.4 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, according to a regulatory filing.
Revenue from operations during the quarter increased by 9 per cent to INR 213.3 crore, compared with INR 195.8 crore in the same period a year ago. The growth was backed by higher sales volumes across the company's steel business.
Kamdhenu's total sales rose by 9.28 per cent to 10.6 lakh tonnes during the April-June quarter of FY27, up from 9.7 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period.
Commenting on the quarterly performance, Kamdhenu Chairman Satish Kumar Agarwal said the company's results were supported by healthy growth across its product portfolio. He added that manufacturing volumes at the company's own facilities increased by 6 per cent year-on-year, while volumes from its franchisee network grew by 9 per cent over the same period.
Kamdhenu follows an asset-light business model in which a significant portion of its production is carried out through franchise manufacturing units across the country. The company markets products including TMT bars, structural steel and other construction-related steel products under the Kamdhenu brand.
Sharing the company's outlook, Agarwal said the government's continued focus on infrastructure development, urbanisation and manufacturing is expected to support steel demand in the coming quarters. He noted that sustained investments in roads, railways and urban transit projects, along with continued industrial activity, are likely to drive higher consumption of finished steel.
The broader domestic steel sector has also been witnessing steady demand from housing, commercial real estate and public infrastructure projects, with government-led capital expenditure continuing to support construction activity across the country.
