Urbanrise has reported receiving more than 250 home reservations within seven days of opening the pre-launch window for its residential project, 'Codename: The Next Big Thing', in Thirumazhisai, West Chennai. The development, announced during the past week, will initially comprise over 1,000 two and three-bedroom apartments supported by more than 100 lifestyle amenities. The response reflects sustained demand for housing in West Chennai, where improving transport infrastructure and connectivity have strengthened residential and investment activity. Located near the Outer Ring Road, the Poonamallee Bypass Metro station, the upcoming Kuthambakkam Bus Terminus and the Chennai–Bengaluru Expressway, the project is positioned to benefit from access to major employment centres and industrial corridors.
Urbanrise has received more than 250 home reservations within seven days of opening the pre-launch window for its upcoming residential project, 'Codename: The Next Big Thing', in Thirumazhisai, West Chennai. Announced during the past week, the response comes ahead of the project's formal launch, during which the developer plans to introduce more than 1,000 premium two and three-bedroom apartments.
According to the developer, the first phase of the project will comprise over 1,000 apartments supported by more than 100 lifestyle amenities. The company said the level of interest from prospective buyers during the pre-launch period reflects continued demand from both homebuyers and investors for residential developments in the western part of Chennai.
Urbanrise stated that the project is located in Thirumazhisai, an area that has witnessed growing residential activity as transport infrastructure and regional connectivity continue to improve. The development is situated near the Outer Ring Road and approximately five minutes from the Poonamallee Bypass Metro station, providing access to established commercial and residential locations, including Guindy, Anna Nagar and Porur.
The project also benefits from proximity to the upcoming Kuthambakkam Bus Terminus and the Chennai–Bengaluru Expressway, offering road connectivity to the Sriperumbudur Industrial and Economic Zone and other parts of Tamil Nadu. The developer said these infrastructure links have contributed to increasing residential demand in the locality.
According to Urbanrise, Thirumazhisai is evolving into an urban neighbourhood with access to educational institutions, universities, healthcare facilities and research and development investments. The company noted that the combination of social infrastructure and transport connectivity has strengthened the area's appeal among homebuyers seeking residences in West Chennai.
The developer added that infrastructure-led growth across the corridor has supported the market response to the project and reflects broader demand for housing in one of Chennai's expanding residential markets.
Urbanrise operates across Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad and has a portfolio of more than 81 million sq ft of ongoing and upcoming developments. The company stated that it has served over 24,000 customers and is backed by Kotak Realty Fund. Urbanrise also said its development portfolio is valued at more than INR 63,000 crore and that it continues to focus on delivering residential projects across key markets in South India.
