State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has secured project management consultancy (PMC) contracts worth about INR 109 crore for infrastructure projects in Jammu & Kashmir and Odisha. The assignments include the construction of a horticulture laboratory complex in Srinagar and hostel facilities at educational institutions in Odisha. The new orders strengthen NBCC's project portfolio in the public infrastructure segment and reflect continued government investment in research and education-related facilities.
NBCC (India) Ltd has been awarded project management consultancy contracts valued at approximately INR 109 crore for two government-backed infrastructure projects in Jammu & Kashmir and Odisha. The company disclosed the new orders through a regulatory filing, adding to its growing portfolio of public sector development projects.
One of the contracts relates to the development of a modern laboratory complex for the Department of Horticulture in Srinagar. The proposed facility is expected to strengthen research, testing and quality assessment capabilities for horticultural produce, supporting scientific practices and improving services available to farmers and the agriculture sector in the region.
The second assignment involves the construction of hostel infrastructure at educational institutions in Odisha. The project is aimed at expanding residential facilities for students and improving campus infrastructure to support higher education. Better accommodation is expected to enhance access to educational opportunities, particularly for students from distant districts.
As the project management consultant, NBCC will oversee planning, execution and coordination of the projects, ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved specifications, timelines and quality standards. The company has undertaken similar assignments for central and state government agencies across sectors including education, healthcare, housing and institutional infrastructure.
The latest contracts reinforce NBCC's position as a key implementation agency for public infrastructure projects. The company continues to secure consultancy and execution assignments from government departments, reflecting sustained investment in institutional facilities designed to improve public services and regional development.
The Srinagar laboratory project is expected to contribute to the horticulture sector by providing improved testing and analytical infrastructure, while the hostel facilities in Odisha are intended to strengthen educational infrastructure and support student welfare. Together, the two projects represent continued emphasis on creating specialised public assets that address sector-specific needs through planned infrastructure development.
With these new orders, NBCC continues to expand its order book while supporting government initiatives focused on research, education and institutional capacity building across different states. The projects are expected to be implemented in phases in accordance with the respective client agencies' schedules and funding plans.
