GreenLine Mobility has partnered with Dabur India to deploy LNG-powered trucks for the FMCG company's logistics operations across India. The collaboration is aimed at reducing emissions from long-haul freight while maintaining operational efficiency and reliability. It also aligns with Dabur India's sustainability goals and reflects the increasing adoption of lower-emission transport solutions by Indian businesses. GreenLine, which operates a fleet of more than 1,000 LNG-powered trucks across key freight corridors, continues to expand its presence across sectors including FMCG, steel, cement, mining and chemicals.
GreenLine Mobility, the logistics arm of Essar Group, has partnered with Dabur India to deploy liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks for the FMCG company's logistics operations across the country. The partnership is expected to support Dabur India's efforts to build a more sustainable supply chain while reducing emissions from long-haul freight transportation without compromising operational efficiency and reliability.
The move comes as more companies across India are adopting cleaner transportation solutions to lower the carbon footprint of their logistics operations. The collaboration also reflects the growing focus of businesses on decarbonising freight movement as part of their wider environmental and sustainability commitments.
GreenLine Mobility's Vice President – Sales, Charles Devlin D'Costa, said it was encouraging to see more leading Indian companies making low-emission logistics an important part of their business strategy. He added that every such partnership helps strengthen the transition towards cleaner freight mobility across the country.
Dabur India said the partnership would help integrate lower-emission transportation into its logistics network while ensuring efficiency and dependable operations. Samrat Sehgal, Global Director of Supply Chain at Dabur India, said collaborations of this nature would play an important role in building a more sustainable and future-ready supply chain.
GreenLine Mobility currently operates a fleet of more than 1,000 LNG-powered vehicles across major freight corridors in India. The company provides logistics solutions to industries including steel, cement, mining, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and chemicals. In recent years, the company has been expanding its LNG-powered transportation network as industries increasingly look for alternatives to conventional diesel-powered freight vehicles to reduce emissions.
The adoption of LNG-powered trucks has been gaining traction in India's logistics sector as businesses seek cleaner transport options that can support long-distance freight movement while offering operational efficiency. Such partnerships are also aligned with the country's broader efforts to reduce emissions from the transportation sector and encourage cleaner commercial mobility.
