Bringing over 30 years of experience in civil engineering, project management and real estate development, Gonsalves will oversee project planning, engineering, design coordination, quality assurance, safety and execution across the company's portfolio. His appointment comes as Mayfair Housing pursues its growth strategy while focusing on technical governance and operational efficiency. The company expects his expertise across India and the Middle East to support timely project delivery and reinforce construction quality across ongoing and future developments.

Mayfair Housing has appointed Anthony Nelson Gonsalves as its Chief Technical Officer (CTO), strengthening its senior leadership team as the Mumbai-based developer prepares to expand its footprint across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The appointment, announced in the past week, is aimed at enhancing the company's engineering capabilities, construction quality and project execution across its growing residential portfolio. 
With more than three decades of experience in civil engineering, project management and real estate development, Gonsalves will lead Mayfair Housing's technical function. His responsibilities will include overseeing project planning, engineering, design coordination, construction quality, safety standards and execution while working with multidisciplinary teams to improve operational efficiency and ensure timely project delivery. 
According to the developer, the appointment comes at a stage when the company is pursuing expansion across the MMR while maintaining its focus on technical governance and quality-led project execution. Mayfair Housing said the addition of Gonsalves to its leadership team is expected to strengthen project oversight through the adoption of global engineering practices, enhanced quality assurance frameworks and improved construction processes across ongoing and upcoming developments. 
Commenting on the appointment, Anay Nayan Shah, Joint Managing Director of Mayfair Housing, said the company considers technical excellence to be central to delivering high-quality residential developments. He stated that as the developer continues to expand its portfolio, strengthening the leadership team with experienced professionals remains important for maintaining standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency. Shah added that Gonsalves' experience across India and the Middle East and his track record in delivering large-scale projects would help improve engineering capabilities, streamline project execution and enhance customer experience. 
Speaking on his appointment, Anthony Nelson Gonsalves said he was joining Mayfair Housing at an important phase of its growth and looked forward to strengthening the company's technical functions. He said the focus would be on leveraging global best practices, encouraging innovation and promoting collaborative engineering processes to improve operational efficiency while delivering value to customers. 
Gonsalves has previously held leadership roles with Gera Developers, Dynamix Group, AECOM and K Raheja Group, where he was involved in planning and executing residential, hospitality and mixed-use developments across India and the Middle East. His portfolio includes Adventz Tower, Dubai, which received the Best Residential Tower – MENA award at the World Architecture Awards 2015, as well as projects including Riviera Tower in Sharjah, the Pullman, Pride and Ibis Hotels in Delhi, Verandas and Suncity in Gurugram, and Avanya, Parkwoods and Divum in Mumbai. 
A Project Management Professional (PMP), Gonsalves holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Walchand Institute of Technology and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Mayfair Housing said his technical, project management and legal expertise will support the company's long-term growth strategy by strengthening engineering governance, project execution and construction quality across its residential developments.
