According to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the proposed infrastructure push is aimed at enhancing Odisha’s role in national and international maritime trade. The deep-sea port project is expected to significantly improve cargo handling capacity and enable the state to accommodate larger vessels, thereby increasing trade efficiency and connectivity with global shipping routes.
