Ekter Building Real Estate Hotel Commercial Industrial SA has secured a EUR 8.8 million contract with Democritus University of Thrace to complete facilities for its medical school. The project is scheduled to be completed within 24 months and adds to the company's growing order book. Following the agreement, Ekter's total backlog of public and private sector projects has increased to EUR 211.8 million. The contract strengthens the company's presence in public infrastructure projects, particularly in the education sector, while supporting its long-term project pipeline.
Ekter Building Real Estate Hotel Commercial Industrial SA has signed a contract worth EUR 8.8 million with Democritus University of Thrace for the completion of facilities at the university's medical school.
Under the agreement announced on Thursday, the company will execute the remaining construction work required for the medical school facilities. The project has a completion timeline of 24 months from the start of execution.
The latest contract has also strengthened Ekter's order book. Following the signing of the agreement, the company's total backlog of public and private sector projects has increased to EUR 211.8 million, providing greater revenue visibility over the coming years.
Ekter has been expanding its portfolio across public infrastructure as well as private developments, with education, healthcare and commercial projects forming part of its business pipeline. A healthy backlog is generally considered an important indicator of future business activity, as it reflects the value of projects that are yet to be executed.
The contract with Democritus University of Thrace further adds to the company's ongoing public sector assignments and reinforces its position in institutional infrastructure development.
