DTDC Express has strengthened its logistics infrastructure with the inauguration of Bharat One, a next-generation logistics hub at Rathiwas in Haryana. Positioned as a key component of the company's long-term expansion strategy, the facility has been developed to improve cargo movement, enhance operational efficiency and support the growing demand for organised logistics services across India. The launch marks another step in DTDC's efforts to modernise its nationwide network through larger, technology-enabled logistics assets.
Located in Haryana's rapidly developing logistics corridor, the hub has been planned to serve as a major consolidation and distribution centre for northern India. Its proximity to Delhi-NCR and access to major highways are expected to enable quicker movement of freight across Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and other neighbouring markets. The strategic location is intended to reduce transit time while improving network connectivity between production centres, warehouses and end consumers.
The facility spans nearly 1.5 lakh sq. ft. and has a peak handling capacity of around 2,500 tonnes per day. It incorporates automated sorting systems, conveyor-based cargo movement and modern dock infrastructure to streamline parcel handling and improve shipment turnaround. These technologies are expected to minimise manual intervention, optimise vehicle loading and unloading, and enable the hub to process significantly higher shipment volumes during peak demand periods.
According to DTDC, Bharat One has been designed not only to expand capacity but also to improve the reliability of its logistics operations. The company expects the new hub to strengthen its mid-mile transportation network, allowing shipments to move more efficiently between collection centres, warehouses and final delivery destinations. Faster processing and improved route integration are also expected to enhance service quality for businesses relying on time-sensitive deliveries.
The investment reflects broader changes taking place in India's logistics sector, where rising e-commerce penetration, expanding manufacturing activity and the growth of organised supply chains are driving demand for larger and more automated logistics infrastructure. Companies are increasingly investing in integrated hubs capable of handling higher cargo volumes while improving operational efficiency through digital technologies and automation.
Bharat One forms part of DTDC's Vision 2030 roadmap, which focuses on expanding infrastructure, adopting advanced technologies and building a resilient nationwide logistics network. The company has indicated that future investments will continue to prioritise automation, network optimisation and customer experience as freight volumes increase across domestic markets.
With the addition of the Haryana facility, DTDC aims to reinforce its position in India's express logistics sector while creating the capacity needed to support future growth. As supply chains become more integrated and businesses demand faster, more reliable logistics services, large-scale hubs such as Bharat One are expected to play an increasingly important role in improving freight efficiency and strengthening the country's logistics ecosystem.
