Synopsis

Interior Company, the home interiors business of Square Yards, is expanding its technology-enabled interior design and execution services as demand for organised post-possession home solutions grows across India. The company offers an integrated model covering design, procurement, project management and execution through a single platform. Its proprietary AI-powered design tools, including the Blocks platform, allow homeowners to visualise, customise and estimate interior costs in real time. Interior Company said it has completed more than 500 projects, built a network of over 2,000 design professionals and expanded its presence across 10 cities in India and two international markets, reflecting growing demand for structured interior execution services.

Interior Company, the home interiors vertical of Square Yards, is strengthening its technology-led interior design and execution platform as organised post-possession home improvement services gain traction in India's residential market.
The company provides an end-to-end interior execution model that integrates design consultation, material selection, procurement, project management and on-site execution through a single platform. The approach is aimed at reducing the need for homeowners to coordinate separately with designers, contractors, carpenters and multiple vendors after taking possession of their homes.
According to the company, the service is designed to support homeowners from the time they receive possession of a property until the residence is fully completed and ready for occupation. The standardised execution framework combines professional design services with centralised project management, transparent pricing and structured delivery processes.
Technology forms a key component of the company's offering. Interior Company has developed proprietary AI-powered design tools and digital workflows that enable homeowners to visualise, modify and evaluate interior layouts before execution begins.
Its Blocks platform allows users to customise layouts, finishes, materials and configurations while simultaneously viewing estimated project costs. The system is intended to provide greater transparency during the design process and reduce the time required for revisions and approvals.
The company has also introduced AI-based design tools that generate recommendations based on homeowners' lifestyle preferences, space requirements and design choices. In addition, a dedicated Kitchen AI Design tool enables users to visualise modular kitchen layouts, storage configurations, colour schemes and material options before finalising designs.
Interior Company stated that the integration of digital design with procurement, manufacturing and project management systems is intended to improve execution efficiency, minimise errors and provide greater certainty over project costs and delivery schedules.
The company said it has completed more than 500 residential interior projects and currently works with a network of over 2,000 design professionals. It operates across 10 cities in India and two international markets while offering access to more than 200,000 design options through its platform.
Commenting on the company's strategy, Kanika Gupta Shori, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Square Yards and Interior Company, said the business aims to simplify the post-possession phase of homeownership by combining design expertise, technology and execution under a single platform. She stated that digital tools such as Blocks and the company's AI-powered design capabilities enable homeowners to visualise, customise and estimate the cost of interior projects while improving transparency and reducing uncertainty throughout the execution process.
As organised housing markets continue to expand across metropolitan and emerging cities, demand for integrated interior design and execution services is increasing. Companies are increasingly adopting technology-driven platforms to improve project planning, execution efficiency and customer experience while addressing homeowners' expectations for greater transparency, predictable timelines and centralised project management.
