Haryana approves infrastructure and procurement projects worth INR 340.84 crore

Synopsis

The Haryana government has approved infrastructure and procurement proposals worth INR 340.84 crore following meetings of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The approved projects include roads, sewage treatment plants, drainage systems, sewer networks and power infrastructure across Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat and Panchkula. Following negotiations with bidders, the government reduced the overall project cost from INR 355.95 crore, generating savings of approximately INR 15.11 crore. The approvals also include procurement of electrical equipment for state power utilities and laboratory infrastructure for the dairy sector.

The Haryana government has approved procurement and infrastructure development proposals worth INR 340.84 crore after negotiations with bidders reduced the overall project cost, generating savings of approximately INR 15.11 crore. 
The approvals were granted during meetings of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and the High Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC), chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. 
According to an official statement, proposals valued at INR 355.95 crore were placed before the two committees. Following negotiations, projects worth INR 340.84 crore received approval. 
During the HPWPC meeting, 10 proposals with an estimated value of INR 259.20 crore were considered. One proposal was deferred, while the remaining nine projects, originally valued at INR 225.76 crore, were approved at a revised cost of INR 217.68 crore, resulting in savings of INR 8.08 crore. 
At the HPPC meeting, five procurement proposals worth INR 158 crore were tabled. One proposal was withdrawn, while the remaining four projects, initially valued at INR 130.19 crore, were approved for INR 123.16 crore after negotiations, generating additional savings of INR 7.03 crore. 
Among the procurement approvals, the committees cleared the purchase of 11 kV pilfer-resistant metering cubicles for Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), along with 11 kV vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) panels, capacitor control panels and transformer panels for Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN). 
The committees also approved procurement of laboratory equipment by the Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd for a laboratory to be operated under the Government of India's National Programme for Dairy Development through a public-private partnership model. 
Several urban infrastructure projects across the state's metropolitan development authorities also received approval. Under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the government approved construction of a master road and service road between Sectors 78 and 80. 
For the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA), approvals were granted for the installation of six micro sewage treatment plants to serve parks and green belts across multiple sectors, together with associated infrastructure, operation and maintenance works. 
Projects approved under the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority include the laying of sewer lines and construction of manholes in Kundli, development of a stormwater drainage system in Kharkhoda, widening and strengthening of the 65-metre-wide road connecting GT Road to Diwan Farm, and construction of a 7.50 million litres per day (MLD) sewage treatment plant along with a main pumping station in Kundli. 
The Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority received approval for construction of a 20 MLD sewage treatment plant, a 50 MLD main pumping station for the Panchkula Industrial Area, strengthening of the existing 67.5 MLD pumping station, expansion of a 15 MLD sewage treatment plant to 30 MLD, and development of a 10 MLD sewage treatment plant with an associated pumping station in Sector 29 of the Pinjore-Kalka Urban Complex. 
The chief minister directed officials to ensure that all materials supplied for the approved projects comply with prescribed quality standards and that execution is completed within the stipulated timelines.
